Yellow Cup came up with one of the most innovative and useful applications since sliced bread...Errr, word processors and IDE's. Its called Dispatch and integrates with Visual Studio 2005. Its specifically for use when creating websites - e.g. with ASP.NET. Something I do quite frequently.
The traditional method of development was:
1. Create website in Visual Studio.
2. Test website using built-in web server.
3. Use third-party client (in my case FileZilla) to upload files to web server.
4. Browse live website and ensure everything is okay.
Dispatch takes out a time consuming and annoying step - using a third party FTP application. Don't get my wrong, I love my FileZilla, its a great FTP client. But with Dispatch I can upload files directly from Visual Studio - no opening third-party apps. Not only that but it keeps track of what files I changed and makes it easy for me to with a simple click, upload only the changed files. Wow.
Yellow Cup has one awesome application on their hands. When I first saw they were offering free licenses in exchange for a blog post I was somewhat critical, but I love the app. so much I have to get my hand on one of those free licenses - otherwise I'd be sure to shell out the money when the app. reaches full release (it is a very stable beta).
