Mingle2 an online dating site (okay, I know nothing about the site, it was a Digg story a while back, I'm not endorsing Mingle2...I've never used an online dating site....yeah, really) and they wrote an interesting article entitled "Ten Ways Being a Geek Makes You More Attractive." Its actually a pretty good read. Here's my brief commentary on a few of the ten points:
2. My wife wouldn't let me walk out of the house in the morning without first seeing what I had put on. Apparently my fashion sense was not very good. I've gotten better these days and she let's me leave the house without a professional review. So I might have to disagree with this one.
8. Yes, its true. I have more stuff to do than I can fit into a day and I don't think I know a single geek who isn't the same way. Being a geek means there is always more to understand, so there is always more to do.
9. Hmmm...I can't comment for anyone except myself. But I do read lots of RSS feeds and this probably does help my vocabulary. On the other hand, I've seen a lot of bad spelling on Digg.
10. Does passionate also mean we are single-minded? I have a very hard time thinking about two things at once.
